George Okwir
George Okwir has extensive professional experience in programme design, management and evaluations. He is a graduate in sociology and monitoring and evaluation with over 20 years of professional practice. George has contributed to endline and impact evaluations of programmes for international organisations such as Opportunity International, CIVIPOL (Technical Co-operation Operator of French Ministry), the World Bank supported Universal Primary and Secondary Education Policy in Uganda.
George has also supported growth and development of local Non-Governmental Organisations through institutional capacity building, baseline and end-line evaluations, impact evaluations and mentorship processes.
In supporting consultancy services, he has designed evaluation proposals, methodologies and frameworks, data collection tools, field data collection protocols, data analysis frameworks, undisputed evaluation reports and developed monitoring and evaluation guidelines and policies for civil society organisations. He has extensive skills in quantitative and qualitative methodologies including Qualitative Impact Assessment Protocols (QuIP).
George has provided monitoring and evaluation services in Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia, Djibouti. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology (Social Sciences) and Post Graduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Monitoring and Evaluation at Uganda Technology and Management University.
